A Fort Nelson couple were at B.C. Lottery headquarters in Richmond on Tuesday to pick up their cheque for more than $17 million, and start planning their early retirement.
Peter Martin, 50, and his wife Brenda, 39, are the sole winners of the Mar. 14 Super 7 Draw, worth $17,259,170.20. Peter Martin had been a millwright, while his wife has been working as a cashier.
The couple plans to buy a new SUV, an all-terrain vehicle and get rid of the mortgage on their three-bedroom bungalow. They say they may eventually move to a bigger home.
