Singaporean programmer Jiang Hai Tong has designed a computer programme that attempts to predict winning 4D lottery numbers.
The software's designer says his programme uses a database of winning numbers since 1986.
He said: "If a number has a pattern of say popping up 5 times a year and if it does not appear this year, there's a possibility it may be a winning number the next year, and the chances can be quite good."
36-year old Zhou Xing Jun spends nearly $1000 a month on 4D lottery tickets.
He believes in lots of good luck but says good analysis and firm decision making are just as important when buying lottery numbers.
So that was why 5 years ago, he started using the software that predicts winning 4D numbers to increase his chances of striking it rich.
"We depend on luck but also 'smart luck'. Of all the numbers out there, we can estimate when is the best chance of getting that particular winning number," he said.
But is this software your best bet for sudden wealth?
"If you have good fortune, wealth will find you" said one gambler.
"You can't guess. There are all sorts of winning numbers, even four-zeros," said another.
