Basic Poker Strategy Tips. Difference of Playing Poker in Casino and Online 05.12.2002

1. Play a game with which you are familiar. This will give you a chance to acclimate to online poker without feeling at sea.
2. Understand the difference between playing at the casino and playing online. At the casino, you'll have to play more wisely against possibly more skilled competition.
3. If you're having a bad time at the tables, take a break. in fact, take breaks anyway just to keep yourself fresh and fed.
4. One of the more popular poker tips is that you should always study. The best way to improve your game is to study and practice your skills in low-stakes games.
5. Another of the important poker tips for you to consider is that you can't expect to win every session you play. Realize that every session is part of your career session.
6. The last of the poker tips from us is that you should never be intimidated. Play steady, and have fun.

VIDEO POKER TIP 04.03.2003
Dillon McNuggets Gamble Tribune
Video Poker is all-too-often confused with slots. Simply because they are graphically-driven games, video poker requires far more thought and strategy. Some good rules of thumb to improve your odds of success are:

Omaha is an action game.
  • Limit Omaha which means there is a specific betting limit applied in each game and on each round of betting.
  • Pot Limit Omaha meaning you can bet what is in the pot.
  • No Limit Omaha meaning you can bet all of your chips at any time.

Video poker is a game of skill as well as luck. Most video poker machines are programmed to pay-out up to 100% when players play at the expert level, the casinos can do this because the vast majority of players don't play anywhere near the expert play level required. Here are a few tips to bring your playing closer to an expert level and improve your chances of winning.

    Video Poker Rules 05.12.2002

Online Video Poker is a close relative to the regular poker game that you are accustomed to in the casinos. There are similarities and differences, the most prominent of which revolve around your environment, and your dissemination of trust. By this I mean, people are more apt to believe that a land based casino's odds and expectancies are fair, and more apt to believe an online video poker machine is rigged.

Best Online Poker Strategy? Possible! 05.12.2002

What is the best poker strategy? Online poker is complex. It's complex, not because of its rules, but because of its variables: human behavior and ever-changing odds. There's no doubt that luck plays a major role in short term poker success but over the long run, poker is certainly a game of skill. Like any classic game of skill, poker demands study and practice from those who want to achieve mastery.

Caribbean Stud Poker. Winning Strategy 05.12.2002

Caribbean Stud is one of the few table games, along with Let It Ride, that have been able to claim a share of the increasingly small space casinos give to table games. Casinos prefer slots, because they don't require trained dealers or close eye-in-the-sky supervision.

    History of Poker 04.12.2002
    Maurice Blanchard Gamble Tribune
There seem to be differences of opinion on the origin of Poker. Moreover, there seems to be no clear or direct early ancestor of the game. It is more likely that Poker derived its present day form from elements of many different games. The consensus is that because of it's basic principal, its birth is a very old one.
