It’s an easy solution to an all too perplexing problem: online casinos offer endless rewards, allowing you to play without the usual complications. Their brick and mortar counterparts boast endless rules and regulations. Etiquette is required — with you forced to stumble awkwardly from table to table, uncertain if you’re doing what you should.
The Internet offers an answer, however. The demands of virtual rooms will surely be lessened. You can play as you please, without having to worry about the aftermath.
This is the assumption of many novice gamers. It’s also, however, an assumption that could result in lost bets, frustrated dealers and eventual banishment.
The online world isn’t immune to etiquette. Players are still governed by expectations — specifically regarding tables and their rules. All individuals must be aware of how to play their games before entering a room. Fumbling through the rounds will only cause frustration (lessening other users’ abilities to enjoy themselves). Having to reference rules or strategies will disrupt the flow, slowing rounds and causing others to flee. This reflects poorly on the casinos and will often secure a reprimand.
It’s essential that all users study each game they wish to attempt. Refusing to do this is a breach of conduct, and one that proves a complete lack of respect for gambling itself. Choosing to simply bluff through each round (without noting betting minimums or established practices) will cause confusion — and that is never tolerated.
Etiquette doesn’t disappear online. It instead remains and must be adhered to.
