MEGA MILLIONS, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The excitement is growing in Mega Millions. So is the number of winners. A total of 596,939 tickets in ten states won prizes in Friday's Mega Millions drawing. Each of those tickets matched one of eight different Mega Millions prize levels. But no ticket matched all six numbers to win the $87 million jackpot. So the jackpot for the Tuesday, September 23, 2003 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $102 million.

Friday's winning Mega Millions numbers were 13-14-24-34-47 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 13.

Eleven tickets came close to winning the jackpot. They matched the first five numbers and only missed the Gold Mega Ball number. Those tickets each win Mega Millions' second prize of $175,000. Those winning tickets were sold in New Jersey (1), Georgia (2), Illinois (1), Michigan (2), New York (4), and Ohio (1).

Mega Millions players won a total of $4,857,758 in Friday's drawing. Here is the breakdown:

Powerball Jackpot Grows to $50 Million

POWERBALL, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The excitement is rising along with the jackpot in America's favorite lottery game. There were no Powerball jackpot winners Saturday but 367,039 players across the nation won a total of more than $3.8 million in prizes in America's Game.

Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Saturday's drawing the jackpot will grow to an estimated $50 million.

The cash option for the Wednesday, September 24 drawing will be an estimated $26.5 million.

The numbers drawn were: 11, 13, 28, 31, 33, and the Powerball was 29. The Power Play multiplier was 4.

Six players correctly matched the 5 white numbers and won $100,000. The tickets were sold in Indiana, Louisiana (2), Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina. The winning players from Pennsylvania and South Carolina purchased the Power Play option. By spending the extra dollar those players multiplied their prize by 4 for a total win of $400,000.

Twenty-eight players matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $5,000. Three of those players purchased the Power Play option, giving them a total win of $20,000.

More than 47,000 winning Powerball players multiplied their prize by 4 Saturday. They were able to do that by purchasing the Power Play option for one dollar. With Power Play you can multiply your winnings, except for the jackpot. At the beginning of each drawing a wheel is spun to select that night's multiplier.

Players should carefully check their tickets after every draw. Even if there are no jackpot winners there are always tens of thousands of winners at other prize levels.

Players purchased more than 15 million tickets between Thursday and Saturday night.

The lotteries sold $1.6 billion in Powerball tickets in 2002. That translates into more than $480 million for worthwhile state projects.

LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- No tickets matched all six numbers in the latest WinFall drawing, raising Wednesday's jackpot to $2.6 million, the Michigan Lottery says.

Saturday's $2.5 million jackpot rolled over after no tickets matched all the winning numbers 14, 23, 34, 40, 43, 44.

Twelve tickets matched five of six numbers to win $2,500 each, 542 tickets matched four numbers to win $100 each, and 9,435 tickets matched three numbers to win $5 each.

No-one has yet claimed the windfall for which the winning ticket was bought in Belfast a month ago.

Toronto couple claims $26.8M jackpot

Larry Campbell, 63, of Pullman, has claimed his winnings. He took a one-time, lump-sum payment of $19,128,233, rather than have the $47 million paid out over 20 years, Michigan Lottery officials said. Campbell claimed his prize on Friday. Lottery officials said Campbell and his wife plan to buy a new house with their winnings and "do some serious relaxing." Campbell is retired from the Dr. Pepper-7-up Bottling Division in Holland.

The group bought one of the two Super-7 lottery tickets that won the wopping $25 million prize, leaving each couple with more than $3.5 million.

A £20m (€30.3m) British National lottery windfall finally claimed

Al's Total Services, 2625 109th Ave., sold the lucky ticket, and it probably surprised the winner as much as store owner Al Baugus. "It's outrageous," Baugus said of the amount of the prize. "Something that big in this small of a town."

Missouri man wins $11.6 million lottery jackpot

Lottery spokesman Bobby Heith said the ticket-holder passed the initial verification inquiry and was advised to seek legal and financial advice and call back when ready to claim the prize.

The Brooksville ticket was the only one with all six winning numbers from Saturday night's drawing. The jackpot drops back to an estimated $3 million for the drawing this Wednesday night.

But the winner of Saturday's drawing had not been identified as of Sunday afternoon.

The ticket for the double rollover Lotto draw on Wednesday 14 April was bought in the county - the winning numbers were: 1, 3, 22, 32, 38 and 44.

Lottery outlets are bracing for long lineups of Winnipeggers looking to secure their chance at a $30-million Super 7 jackpot today.

Wheaton residents Miguel and Maria Bonilla, who won the April 9 drawing, have elected to receive the winnings as a lump sum of $62,163,496.64. After state and federal taxes, the Bonillas will get nearly $42 million.

Twirling a toothpick in his mouth and holding his wife's hand, Triplett said the prize was "no big thing to me" and gave assurances he would spend it wisely. His wife, Peggy, said she would "shop till I drop."
