The Daviess-McLean Baptist Association is sponsoring a public forum concerning the social and economic impact of gambling from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the community center in English Park, 25 Hanning Lane in Owensboro.
Panelists include John Kindt, professor of commerce and legal policy at Southern Illinois University, Urbana-Champaign; David Beasley, a former governor of South Carolina (1995-99); State Sen. Richard White of Terry, Miss.; and Jimmy Porter, executive director-treasurer of the Mississippi Baptist Christian Action Commission Inc.
